Siemens Product Lifecycle Management Software Inc. 5800 Granite Parkway Suite 600 Plano, TX. 75024 -------------------- End of Legal Notices -------------------- -------------- Release Notes: -------------- Microsoft Installer (MSI) Maintenance Pack Solid Edge 2019 (V219) Version: 219.00.09.04 Solid Edge 2019 Maintenance Packs will be available to address CRITICAL items thru the year following the release. The release date for Solid Edge 2019 was 06/25/2018. Therefore, the Solid Edge 2019 Maintenance Pack cutoff date is 12/31/2019. Teamcenter Integration for Solid Edge (SEEC) - If you have installed the Solid Edge 2019 SEEC Admin from the Full Product download area, Teamcenter_Integration_for_SE_Admin_2019.zip, please install the updated SEEC Admin product, SEECAdministratorV219_MP1.zip from the Solid Edge Product Update area to ensure you have the changes made to support MP1. Beyond the MP1 install, no further SEEC Admin updates are required with this MP release. Solid Edge Portfolio Products - When you download an MP for a Solid Edge Portfolio product such as Technical Publications, Modular Plant Design, Electrical, and so on, you should also install the related base Solid Edge MP. At times a change is required in both the base product and portfolio product to address a software issue. Microsoft Windows 10 releases Feature Updates every six months. Microsoft does not use Windows 10 Feature Updates as an avenue to deliver security-related patches. All quality-related patches, including security and reliability hot-fixes, will continue to be delivered outside of this Feature Update process. Therefore, if your production use of Solid Edge was negatively impacted as a result of the last Microsoft Windows 10 Feature Update, you should consider configuring your Windows 10 machines to delay the deployment of Windows 10 Feature Updates. Configuring your Windows 10 machines by moving the machines into the "Semi-Annual Channel" servicing channel will delay the installation of Feature Updates for approximately four months following the initial release. During this time, you and your IT organization will have the opportunity to review the suitably of the Feature Update, including determining any negative impact, upon the applications that you use in your production environment, such as Solid Edge. This four-month window of time between Microsoft initially releasing the Feature Update to targeted machines and releasing the Feature Update for general deployment to the enterprise will also provide our development team time to review and react to changes introduced by Windows 10 Feature Updates, thereby helping keep you as productive as possible.  -------------------- End of Release Notes -------------------- ------------------- Installation Notes: ------------------- • MSI Product Updates can be applied on top of the base release and or existing Product Update with a lesser version. • MSI Product Updates are all inclusive, i.e. fixes delivered in MP3 include all fixes delivered in MP1 and MP2. • MSI Product Updates calculate free disk space before installing. Please note that there have been cases where the Disk Space Computation takes several minutes to complete. Please be patient. • MSI Product Updates can be uninstalled without having to remove the base Solid Edge product. • Uninstalling a MSI Product Update will restore the installation to the state before the Product Update was applied. • PLEASE NOTE: When uninstalling a MSI Product Update, the original source media and the previous Product Update package, if any, must be available to allow the recovery of previous file versions. • The current MSI Product Update will be the only Update listed and available for uninstallation. After the current Update is uninstalled, the previous Update will become the current Update, if there were multiple Updates installed. • MSI Product Updates are uninstalled via the Control Panel (Uninstall a program –> View installed updates -> Uninstall). Silent MSI MP Install: Solid_Edge_MSI_MP1.exe /s /v"/qn /L*v %TEMP%\mysilentupdate.log" “/s” is an InstallShield switch that makes the InstallShield EXE run silent. “/v” is an InstallShield switch that passes the string following it in quotes to the wrapped MSI “/qn” The “q” sets the UI level of the MSI and the “n” is it’s option for “No UI” Be careful attempting to output a log file as MSI will not create directories if they don’t exist. So, if you want to create a log file set your path to a directory that exits or to “%TEMP%\mysilentupdate.log” as “%TEMP%” is an environment variable which translates into “c:\users\yourusername\local\appdata\temp”. ------------------- End of Installation ------------------- ---------------------------------------------- PRs Resolved in Solid Edge 2019 MP9 (v219 MP9) ---------------------------------------------- ===API=== PR 9528866: Solid Edge aborts when trying to get a plane or PMI plane from annotation object PR 9541960: Styles standard COM enumerator can crash solid edge PR 9541992: Windows standard enumerator can crash Solid Edge ===General=== PR 9499888: Change SE status in Design Manager move files to the root folder in pre-release PR 9511000: Wrong coordinate units with Probe command PR 9503598: Update Status Info disabled with Solid Edge Foundation license PR 9519306: A Total Bearing Load is being applied to each face with the total value.
